Day 1 and a half

It’s 3:00 in the afternoon on my first full day on the ship. Everything so far has been awesome. Yesterday we got moved in and had to do the emergency drill. I didn’t sleep much on the planes so I couldn’t wait to take a nap. I slept for a couple of hours after the drill then we had dinner. The food was great and our servers are cool. Dinner started with only 5 of the 10 of us, the rest were sleeping. About an hour into dinner 4 more showed up confused about time zones, it was pretty funny. By the time dinner was over we were all pretty tipsy and ready to explore. We wandered all over the boat, through the casino and every one of the bars, and eventually ended up hot tubbing till 3 ish. Great night.

Today has been great so far too. Slept in, met everyone for breakfast/lunch, and we have all just been hanging out by the pool since then. Duncan has been on the lacrosse team since freshman year, and has never been on spring break until now. Consequently, he’s trying to make up for lost time and hasn’t been sober since yesterday afternoon. We just dared him to put on the emergency life vest and take a swim, needless to say he obliged.

Everyone is currently by the pool, but the sun isn’t out so I’m gonna hit up the gym and then go back out.

O, and I have signed up for a dive trip in Grand Caymen for the morning of my birthday – more information to come.

Also, I can't seem to upload pictures for some reason, I'll see what I can do about that later.

Until next time,

-Adam

Pre-Cruise Excitement

It is Saturday, last day before embarkation! It's so nice being home that it will be hard for me to leave. I'd love to stay an extra day, but I don't think the ship would wait on me. The cruise is through Royal Caribbean and we will be cruising on the Mariner of the Seas. The trip's web page should be here, but in case that link goes inactive over the trip you should be able to navigate there from the ship's webpage here. I'm already worried about getting sunburned as my skin has not seen much sun leading up to this trip.

Things to NOT forget:
  • Sunscreen
  • Bathing Suits
  • Linen Shirts
  • Shoes
  • Camera
  • Replacement Liver (just kidding mom)
  • iPod
  • A good book
  • and, a good attitude

Till next time,
-Adam
